Marble Effect Using Your Stamper Plus Stamping Ontop

HI There

Before I start I want to make it clear that this technique isn't my idea, I got it from Swanette Swan who has a wonderful YouTube channel (NailStamp4Fun) with lots of hints and tips on nail stamping. Thank you Swanette for sharing this technique.

Now that I have said my thank yous let's get started.

These are the materials I used

So as always from left to right Zoya polish in Neely, Essie polish in Parka Perfect, Sinful Colors Black on Black, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Nicole by OPI in Am I Making Myself Claire and the plate I have used is Konad M51

I started off with my base coat Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails followed by 1 coat of my base colour Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

I then took a plastic bag and added a drop of each of my colours close to each other on the plastic. The colours are Zoya Neely, Essie Parka Perfect and Nicole by OPI Am I making Myself Claire

I then took my stamper and pressed it into the polish but not pressing too hard

This is the result

I then rolled the stamper onto my nails. Make sure not to press tooh hard as the polish will be slippery. I had to try a couple of times before I got the pressure right

I know this looks like a mess but bare with me. I put a top coat on over the marble effect to even it out before stamping. I then took my Konad nail plate M51 and stamped the swirly pattern over my marble effect using Sinful Colors Black on Black. Lastly I cleaned up my cuticles and added another layer of top coat.

This is the finished design

What do you think? I really like it thank you again to Swanette Swan who posted this on YouTube.

As High As A Butterfly

Hi There

Today I have decided to do a gradient butterfly mani, as it is getting closer to summer and they always remind me of the sun with their bright colours

So these are the materials I used

From left to right Barry M Gelly High Shine in Green Berry, Essie Nothing Else Metals, Essie Cocktail Bling, Essie Blue Rhapsody and Bundle Monster plate BM205.

I started with my base coat Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails. I then painted all my nails with Barry M Gelly Hi Shine polish in Green Berry

I then took Bundle Monster Plate 205 and the Essie polishes in Nothing Else Metals, Cocktail Bling and Blue Rhapsody and put one line of each colour over the butterfly image horizontally and scraped the excess off to blend the colours

This is the finished design

You can't really see the gradient with the background being so bright but I still like it

What do you think

Water Marble Madness

Hi There

Today I wanted to do a water marble but also wanted to stamp over it. I couldn't decide which pattern to use so both hands are different

These are the colours I used for the water marble

All are Nails Inc colours the colours are Notting Hill Gate, Baker Street and Sloane Avenue.

I painted all my nails with my base coat, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Strengthener followed by 1 coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White

I protected my fingers by surrounding my nails in masking tape. This is so the mess created by the water marble is easier to clean up

I am now ready to water marble I took a plastic cup filled it with water and created a bulls eye using the colours above. I then took a pin and created a stripey pattern in the varnish and when complete it looked like this

I thought this was so pretty I nearly left it as it was but I was experimenting so I stamped over it on my right hand I used Red Angel Plate RA106 and on my left hand I used Cici & Sisi plate 12

I stamped using Sinful Colors Black on Black.

This is my right hand using Red Angel plate RA106

And this is my left hand using Cici & Sisi plate 12

Which one do you like best I think I like the Red Angel design myself

Walk In The Woods Nail Decal

Hi There

Today I have done a walk in the woods decal manicure. I have wanted to use this plate for a long time, but couldn't think what to do with it. Let's get started

So these are the materials I used

From the left we have Revlon Chroma Chameleon (this colour doesn't have a name or number). Konad back special polish, Kleancolor Metallic Green, Revlon Colour stay in Spanish Moss, Revlon Parfumerie Collection Autumn Spice and image plate BM11. You will also need a dotting tool or detail brush.

I started off by painting my nails with my base coat Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails Strengthener followed by 1 coat of my base colour Revlon Colour stay in Spanish Moss

I then started to make my decal. I took plate BM11 and the open leaf image that you can see in the picture above and stamped it onto my stamper

You then need to colour this in. I used the smallest dotting tool I have (if you don't have a dotting tool a detail brush would work just as well). I thought this looked a bit like a tree so I coloured the middle part brown using Revlon Parfumerie Collection in Autumn Spice for the bark. I used Kleancolor Metallic Green for the leaves and I used Revlon Chroma Chameleon (purple) for the berries.

I let the decal dry and then rolled it onto my thumb nail as if I was stamping I used a little more pressure so it is important that you base colour is completely dry so you don't smudge it, and moved slower when rolling so that I could see that the image had stuck. I then repeated the process for my ring finger and this is the result.

I really like how this turned out what do you think

Please leave any questions that you have about this or other mani's I have done in the comments box and I will answer all questions. Frozen Gradient & Stamping

Hi There

My nail design today was inspired by the Disney film Frozen, which I have just watched with my family.

These are the materials that I used

I used Sinful Colors in Snow Me White, Nails Inc in Blenheim Terrace, Sinful Colors Cinderella,  Surf Spray from the Revlon Parfumerie Collection (it does smell lovely but I can't describe it),  the plate I used was MJXXV from my Online Shop and the final thing was a sponge for the gradient.

I started by using my usual base coat Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Strengthener and then I painted all of my nails white

Next I painted the cosmetic sponge with a strip of the Revlon Surf Spray and a strip of the Sinful Colors Cinderella and sponged this across the bottom of my nail to create a gradient on all of my nails. I went over this a few times as Sinful Colors Cinderella is very sheer.
This is the result

For the last part of my design I took plate MJXXV and stamped the image of the swirly hearts onto all of my nails using Nails inc in Blenheim Terrace which is a very dark navy blue. I have to say that this plate is excellent the full nail design fitted over all of my thumb nails and my thumb nails are quite large, so I usually have to stretch the image to get it to fit, but this full nail image fit perfectly there was even some of the image left.

This is the finished design

I love this design it reminsds me of the patterns in the ice when the princess creates her ice palace.

What do you think

Betty Boop Advanced Nail Stamping Technique

Hi There

Today I have been inspired by my Betty Boop image plate. I bought this from Mundo De Unas and the stamping quality is excellent and the size of the images are large enough to cover my whole thumbnail

Let's get started. These are the materials I used

From left to right: Golden Rose polish in number 48, Sinful Colors in Black on Black, China Glaze Don't Be A Luna-tic (silver Holographic), Ferity Sun Vision Sun Activated Nail Polish in Angel Kiss (goes from clear in normal light to pink in the sun), Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Caramel, Sinful Colors in Snow Me White, a small dotting tool, MJXXV Plate from My Online Shop and Handy 31 Plate from Mundo De Unas.

I know I have used alot of materials but stick with me and I promise the end result will be fantastic.

I painted all my nails with my base coat Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Strengthener and then added 2 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White (you can get away with 1 as the colour is really opaque I just prefer 2 so it looks more even)

I then applied 1 coat of my Ferity Sun-Vision Sun activated Nail Polish in Angel Kiss. I chose to put this on over the white as on it's own it is clear. So I put in on top of the white to make it look opaque. This is what colour it goes in the sun

I then took my MJXXV plate and my China Glaze polish in Don't be a Luna-tic and stamped the swirly image onto my middle fingers

Sorry it isn't very clear but it does look better and the holographic really stands out in the sun.

I then took my Handy Plate 31 and stamped the image of Betty Boop in the long dress using Sinful Colors Black On Black. I took the smallest dotting tool that I had (you can also use a detail brush) and used this to colour her dress in red for this I used Golden Rose in number 48. I coloured in her skin using Barry M Matte polish in Caramel and I used 1 dot of Sinful Colors in Snow Me White for each eye. I then waited for the nail paint to dry and then rolled the image onto my middle fingers. I used Handy Plate 31 and Sinful Colors Black on Black to stamp the Betty Boop script on all my other nails.

This is the finished design

I really like this design but clever old me managed to put a great big dint in the decal nail when putting away my polishes luckily I managed to fix it (yey).

What do you think

Wacky Wallpaper Nails

Hi There

Today I am in mourning :( yes my nails have broken (still crying lol). So please forgive the shortness

The title for this mani came from a weird memory really. I don't know about you but every house I have ever lived in has had a painted pink wall under the wallpaper and this mani just reminded me of this when I was doing it.

So these are the materials I used

I used Sinful Colors Black On Black for the stamping, Revlon Parfumerie Collection in Pink Pineapple and it does smell of pineapples, and the nail plate is Red Angel plate RA112

I painted all my nails in 3 coats of the Pink Pineapple by Revlon as it is a very sheer colour

I then took my Red Angel Plate RA112 and stamped the top left image onto my thumb, middle and ring fingers using Sinful Colors Black On Black.

This is the finished design

Another short one but do get what I mean about the pink paint (maybe it's just me lol)

What do you think
