Steampunk Nails

Hi There

Today I am going to do a steampunk design and I was inspired by Absolute Nails on You Tube. If you have time check her out she is excellent. I have done a different design to fit around what I have to play with.

Let's get started
Here are the materials I used

From left to right China Glaze Community, Avon Metallics Gold Leaf, Revlon Parfumerie Chocolate Truffle, Gold Foil, Foil Glue, Micro Glitter Powder in Coffee Bean, Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat, 10g Bag of Tiny Watch Parts, Mo You Gothic 07 plate and Messy Mansion MM43 plate.

I started by painting all my nails in China Glaze Community

As I was putting Gold Foil on them I started with my index and little fingers. I took my foil glue and painted it onto the nails.

As you can see from the picture this sends the nail a milky blue colour but it does dry clear. I then took the Gold Foil and rubbed it over the glue and this was the finished result

With these nails done I moved on to my middle finger. I painted my nail with one coat of Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat and then dipped the nail into the Micro Glitter Powder in Coffee Bean. The colour is beautifully glittery but unfortunately as usual we are having typical British weather and it is dull and raining so you can't see the beauty of the glitter

Next I took Mo You London Gothic Plate 07 and stamped the steampunk image of the clock onto my index and little fingers using Revlon Parfumerie in ChocolateTruffle

I then used Messy Mansion Plate MM43 and stamped the image of the cogs across the top of the nail on a slant  using Avon Metallics in Gold Leaf and then added some of the Tiny Watch Pieces along the edge which I love

The design is now complete here are all the nails together in the finished design

I hope you like this design as much as I do

Little Mermaid Nail Stamping

Hi There

Today I have used some foils that I bought from Born Pretty Store and various stamping plates to achieve today's look.

Let's get started. Here are the materials I used

As you can't see the plates very well in the first photo I decided to do another photo of just the plates that I used.
I will start with the top photo first from left to right
China Glaze Boho Blues, China Glaze Sun's Up Top Down, Nail Foil from Born Pretty Store, Foil Glue, China Glaze Pop The Trunk, OPI You're So Vanilla, China Glaze Capacity To See Beyond, Kiko 275 Black, China Glaze Exotic Encounters, China Glaze Fairy Dust, China Glaze Licence & Registration Please and China Glaze Adventure Red-y. Now The Nail Plates
My Online Shop Plate MJ Special Edition, Mo You London Sailor Collection 04, Mo You London Fairytale Collection 09 and Mo You London Festive Collection 17.

I painted all of my nails with China Glaze Capacity To See Beyond

I then added glitter to the middle two fingers using China Glaze Fairy Dust

I had to take this picture with a flash so you can see the glitter as it is very subtle
Next I applied foil glue to my index and little fingers and when this was tacky I stuck on my nail foils

I thought that the lines on the foil looked like the tentacles of Ursula the evil octopus in the little mermaid and then I remembered that she stole Ariel's voice so I took Mo You London Plates Fairytale 09 and Mo You London Festive Plate 17 and stamped the musical notes from these 2 plates onto the foils using Kiko Black 275 polish

Now I took my Mo You London Sailor 04 plate and stamped the seaweed onto my middle and ring fingers

I next created a decal of Ariel using plate MJ Special Edition from My Online Shop and Kiko Black 275. I coloured the decal in using China Glaze Exotic Encounters for her eyes, OPI You're So Vanilla for her skin and Pop The Trunk for her hair

Next I created a decal of Flounder, again I used my MJ Special Edition Plate from My Online Shop and the colours I used were Kiko Black 275, China Glaze Sun's Up Top Down for his body, China Glaze Bo Ho Blues and China Glaze Licence & Registration Please for his stripes and Adventure Red-y for his mouth. I also used Licence & Registration Please for his eyes

When they were dry I stamped Ariel onto my ring finger and Flounder onto my middle finger
This is the finished design

As these nails are plastic I haven't top coated them but I have found that if you want to top coat your nail foils the best thing to use is a gel top coat as this doesn't damage the foil like normal topcoat

Geisha Girl Advanced Stamping Technique With Pink Gradient

Hi There

Welcome to my first post of 2015 hope you all had a lovely holiday whatever you were doing. As everybody has been doing Christmas and winter themed nails for the whole of December I thought I would do something a bit different. I have therefore done a pink gradient mani using the advanced stamping technique and have also used some nail stickers

Let's get started
Here are the materials I have used

From left to right China Glaze Giver Collection in Friends Forever Right?, China Glaze from the Road Trip Collection I Brake For Colour, China Glaze from the Road Trip Collection Pinking Out The Window, Kiko Black 275, China Glaze The Hunger Games Collection Fast Track, China Glaze Giver Collection Seeing Red, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Dappen dish filled with water, Tweezers, Dotting Tool, Chez-Delany Nail Plate Asiatique 002 and Nail Stickers

For this design I will be using plastic nails as I do all my practising on these and it is too late tonight to do the design on my natural nails. I haven't used a base coat because of this but I would recommend that you use one if you do any design on your natural nails.

So to start I painted all my nails with 1 coat of China Glaze Friends Forever Right? from the Giver Collection

I then created a circular gradient using China Glaze Friends Forever Right? in the centre. I used China Glaze Peeking Out The Window next and for the outer ring I used I Brake For Colour. I did this on my index and ring fingers

Next I did a normal gradient using the same colours from China Glaze, Friends Forever Right? Peeking Out The Window and I Brake For Colour. I did this on my middle and little fingers.

I put a topcoat on both sets of gradients to smooth out the gradient. and then started on my decals. I took my Chez-Delany Asiatique 002 plate and my Kiko Black 275 polish and stamped the image if the Geisha with the parasol. I then took Sinful Colors Snow Me White, China Glaze Fast Track and China Glaze Seeing red and coloured in the decal using my dotting tool.

When the design was touch dry I stamped the image onto the fingers with the circular gradient.

Next I took my nail stickers and placed them into a dappen dish filled with water

After about 10 seconds I removed them from the water and took them off the backing paper and stuck them to my little and middle fingers which had a normal gradient.

This is the finished design

I hope you like my design as much as I do
