Happy New Year

Hi There

Today I have done my New Years Eve mani

Let's get started
Here are the materials that I used

So from left to right Kiko 275 Black, A-England Dancing With Nureyev, A-England Camelot, Mundo Da Unas in Neon Yellow, Neon Pink, Neon Green and Turquoise (27, 29, 38 and 5), Nail Plates Konad M42, Fab Ur Nails Fun 4, Dashica Big SDP plates D and W.

I am using nail pops today so I haven't prepped my nails with base coat but I would advise that you use a base coat on your natural nails.

I painted my little finger and middle finger black using A-England Camelot.

I then painted my index finger and ring finger with A-England Dancing With Nureyev which is a holographic polish

I then took Dashica Plate Big SDP-D and using Mundo Da Unas polishes in Neon Yellow, Neon Pink, Neon Green and Turquoise (27, 29, 38 and 5) I used the image of the fireworks and coloured in each firework with a different polish

I then scraped and stamped the image onto my middle finger and then repeated the process for my little finger it looked like this when finished

Now I stamped my index finger using Kiko 275 black polish and Konad nail plate M42 and stamped 2015 on the nail

For my ring finger I used Fab Ur Nails Fun 4 plate and stamped the streamers in different colours using Mundo Da Unas Neon Yellow, Neon Pink, Neon Green and Turquoise.

Next I took Dashica Big SDP-W plate and using Kiko 275 black polish stamped the image of the people dancing over the streamers

 This is the finished design

With Flash

Without Flash

I put on the 2 photos as you can see the black nails with the fireworks on better with the flash but the holographic nails look better without the flash

Thank you for Reading throughout 2014 and a very happy 2015 to you all. See you in the New Year

Galaxy Christmas Stamping Nails

Hi There

Sorry I haven't been around alot but as you can imagine I have been very busy on the build up to Christmas. I have recently got a dog and I have also been ill, I'm not fully recovered yet but I have managed to do my Christmas nails. Unfortunately I have had to do them on nail pops as my nails are very short due to a few breaks. I will be wearing false nails with this design on for Christmas and I love this design.

Lets get started

Here are the materials I used

From left to right. Crystals (I can't remember where I got these from but they are widely available), Sinful Colors Snow Me White, China Glaze Manhunt, China Glaze Fairy Dust, China Glaze Licence & Registration Pls(from the 2015 Road Trip Collection), OPI Sorry I'm Fizzy Today (from the Coca Cola Collection), Kiko Black 275, OPI RapiDry Quick Drying Top Coat, Makeup Sponge and Nail Plates Messy Mansion MM01 and Bunny Nails HD-F.

If you are doing this on your natural nails don't forget to use a base coat, as I have used nail pops I missed this step. I did all my nails the same and painted them all blue using China Glaze Manhunt (from the On Safari Collection). I then used my OPI RapiDry Top Coat to protect the base layer if anything went wrong. It also helps you polish dry faster.

Next I tore off a piece of make up sponge and dabbed China Glaze Licence and Registration Pls (from the Road Trip 2015 Collection) onto all the nails randomly.

Now I used another piece of sponge to dab on my pink polish OPI Sorry I'm Fizzy Today

Now I tore off another piece of sponge and put Sinful Colors Snow Me White onto the sponge and dabbed this onto the nail

I know this looks very messy but it will look brilliant in the end. I decided that there was too much white so I went back to my first sponge and dabbed a little more of the China Glaze Licence and Registration Pls and bit of China Glaze Manhunt (the base colour) to the nail and this is how it turned out.

Although this looks nice I want it to look like a galaxy so I put a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust onto all the nails to resemble stars, and then used my OPI Rapidry Top Coat to help this dry faster as I have found that this polish takes ages to dry

So although you can't see how gorgeous this looks in person as the camera doesn't do it justice believe me it is really sparkly. Now we can start stamping. I used Messy Mansion Plate MM01 and my black Kiko polish in 275 and stamped the 3 wise men on camels on my little finger, ring finger and middle finger. I then used the same plate and my Sinful Colors Snow Me White polish to stamp the star of Bethlehem on my index finger this is what it looked like when I had finished.

Again the camera hasn't done justice to this design but I wasn't happy with the star, I thought it needed a crystal so I used a small crystal I had in my stash and popped it in the middle of the star

The last thing I did was my thumb, as I said before I painted it exactly the same as my other nails but I now used my Bunny Nails HD-F plate and the Merry Xmas slogan and used Kiko Black 275 to stamp this on my thumb. I then added a crystal above the writing to give an extra bit of sparkle.

This is the finished design

As my camera is only my phone camera I couldn't show the sparkle and design together so I went with design as you can see the sparkle better above. This is quite a traditional design for Christmas as it's not Santa orientated or a Christmas jumper design or even candy canes, but I love it

What do you think

Thank you for reading
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2015
Hopefully I will be able to do a new years mani

Olaf Winter/Christmas Nails With Stamping

Hi There

Today I am doing an Olaf themed mani from the film Frozen. For some reason I have had the song he sings (In Summer) from the film in my head so I thought I would do my interpretation of it on my nails. Now unfortunately my nail broke really low down so I only have little stubs at the moment so I used nail pops instead.

Let's get started

Here are the materials used

I know that there are alot of things that I used but it will be worth it in the end. I will start with the polishes. OPI Orange You Stylish, OPI Just Can't Cope-Acabana, China Glaze Capacity To See Beyond, Kleancolor Neon Aqua, Mundo De Unas Purple (21), Mundo De Unas Green (8), China Glaze Fairy Dust, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Kiko Black 275, Stratos Blue Micro Glitter Powder, 1.5mm Pearls, Star Shaped Glitter, Dotting Tool, Paint Brush, Nail plates Bundle Monster BM-H02, My Online Shop JR-11, Vivid Lacquer VL019, DRK plate DRK XL Designer 1, Mo You London Festive Collection 01. I also used a makeup sponge.

Now onto the design

I started with my little finger and painted it with 2 coats of China Glaze Capacity To See Beyond from The Giver Collection

Next I top coated this and dipped it straight into the Stratos Blue Micro Glitter Powder, I then removed it and used a dry brush to remove the excess glitter.

I finally added some glitter stars to the nail and this is the little finger finished.

Now I moved onto my index (pointer) finger and again painted it it with 2 coats of China Glaze Capacity To See Beyond from The Giver Collection

I then added a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust

Next I took my Bundle Monster BM-H02 plate and stamped the snowflakes over the nail using Sinful Colors Snow Me White I then added a 1.5mm pearl to the largest snowflake and this is the index finger completed.

We can now move on to our middle finger. I started by making a gradient on my finger but instead of it going up and down I made it a circle. I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the Centre , China Glaze Capacity to see beyond next and on the very outside Kleancolor Neon Aqua (I don't think it is a neon colour). I then added a coat of China Glaze Fairy dust and then top coated ready for stamping.

I took my My Online Shop plate JR-11 and stamped the image of Olaf using Kiko Black polish in 275. I then used a dotting tool and a small brush(for the hard to reach places) and coloured in the image using Kiko Black 275, Sinful Colors Snow Me White and OPI Orange You Stylish. I then stamped this onto the nail and used Mo You London Festive Plate 01 to add a few snowflakes above Olaf's head. Here is the finished middle finger design

Last finger now is the ring finger and this is the nail that relates to the song In Summer from the Frozen film. I started by doing a gradient on my nails in the circle pattern again like I did with the middle finger but using Sinful Colors Snow Me White in the centre, OPI  Just Can't Cope-Acabana next and the outer edge I used Orange You Stylish

I next made another decal using My Online Shop plate JR-11 using the Olaf image and colours Kiko Black 275 Sinful Colors Snow Me White and OPI Orange You Stylish. I then stamped this on my nail

As this is the summer nail I used my Vivid Lacquer plate VL019 and my Mundo De Unas Green (8) stamping polish and stamped the image of the grass across the bottom of the nail. I then used DRK XL Designer 1 plate and my Mundo De Unas polish in Purple (21) and stamped some flowers down the left hand side of the nail, finally I used the same plate again the DRK XL Designer plate 1 and Kiko Black 275 and stamped a butterfly on the top right on the nail. Here is the finished ring finger design

I think that if I did this design again I would leave out the butterfly (we live and learn). Here is an image of all the nails we have created. I haven't done the thumb because I would do the same design on my thumb as I did on my middle finger.

Index finger Middle finger Ring finger Little finger

I love this design partly because it's my favourite film at the minute and partly because I love Olaf. What do you think

Gold Foil & Stamping

Hi There

Today I received my new stamping plates from Fab Ur Nails, the one I am using was sent to me by Kelly Norris thank you Kelly for the lovely plates. I saw the image on this plate and thought it would look nice with gold foil underneath it.

Let's get started here are the materials I used

So from left to right as always Kiko black in 275, China Glaze Fast Track from the Hunger Games Collection, Nail Foil Adhesive (I got mine from dollar nail art when I made a purchase of 80 nail foils), Nail Foil (I got this particular foil from Wilkinson's) and Fab Ur Nails plate Fun 6

Here are the materials that I used that are optional

I used an LED gel lamp, Sensationail gel base and topcoat and Sensationail gel cleanser. I used these because I find that normal top coat wrinkles my foil and I have found that this doesn't happen with gel top coat. As I said above these are optional and if you don't have these it isn't a problem.

The first step was to paint all my nails with my base coat OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener and then I followed this with 2 coats of China Glaze Fast Track (this is just in case I miss a bit of foil you won't be able to see the bald patches as the nail colour below matches the foil)

Next I started with my thumb and put the nail foil glue all over my nail. The glue goes on as a milky blue colour and dries clear. Then I placed the foil over my nail and rubbed it with my finger and an orange wood stick and then pulled off the excess

Continue to do this with all your nails and they should look something like this

I have taken a blurred close up of the foil so you can see how sparkly it is

Next I stamped using plate Fun 6 from Fab Ur Nails and the image with 3 flowers on it I stamped the design on all of my fingers using Kiko Black 275

Here is the finished design

I really like this design but I did need to shrink the image so that it fit on my fingers as they are quite small. The image was ok on my thumbs as they are quite big.
I have to add that the foils are an essence product that I bought from Wilkinson's in the UK. It came with 2 patterns the design on my nails and the design on the image at the beginning of this post of the materials that I used. The package is graffiti look 03 hello holo

I hope you like the design

Nail Foils and Pearls

Hi There

Today I have received a set of 16 nail foils from Amazon and some nail pearls from Born Pretty Store and I thought I would test them out and make a post out of it. I have also received a nail plate from Born Pretty Store that I will test at a later date. Please note that all the things that I am testing were bought with my own money.

Let's get started

Here are the materials I used

As usual we'll go from left to right. Claire's Nail Foil Adhesive, Nail Foils from Amazon.co.uk, Kleancolor Clear polish, Nails Inc South Kensington, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, OPI Steady As She Rose, 1.5mm White Pearls from Born Pretty Store.com and an Orange Wood Stick.

Firstly I painted all my nails with a base coat I used my usual base coat OPI Nail Envy Strengthener. I then painted all my nails with 1 coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

Next I painted my ring and middle fingers with 2 coats of Nails Inc South Kensington a foil effect polish and the rest of my nails I painted with 3 coats of OPI Steady As She Rose polish from the Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection. I needed 3 coats of Steady As She Rose polish to get  full opaque coverage. I painted the nails I am going to put the foils on in a similar colour to the foil so if I miss any tiny spots they aren't as obvious.

Now we can start with the foil. I used Claire's Nail Foil Adhesive as you don't receive any with the foils. I put an even layer over all the ring finger nail. This will be white

When the Nail Foil Adhesive dries it dries clear

Although the Nail Foil Adhesive is dry it is very sticky, I now took a piece of nail foil and stuck it over my nail. I used an orange wood stick and rubbed this gently over my nail and around the edge of my nails. You should see the foil coming off the backing. When you have rubbed all over your nail grab the end of the foil and pull it off your nail quickly. If there are any bald spots just put the foils over the top an rub again with the orange wood stick and pull off quickly and this should fill in the gap.
This is what you should be left with

If you have read other nail blogs on foils you might have read that putting a top coat over the foils makes them crinkle. I find that putting a clear coat over the foil stops that from happening so I topped my foil with Kleancolor Clear Polish. I finally added my 1.5mm White Pearls to my little finger, index finger and thumb using my top coat as a glue and then topped them with another coat of top coat to seal them in , I used Nails Inc Kensington Caviar top coat

This is the finished design

Now it is time to give my opinion of the nail foils and 1.5mm white pearls. First the foil, I found them really easy to use unfortunately there was no nail glue with the product but for the price I wouldn't expect it. I love the design on the foils and the 16 foils I received were a collection of different designs although I did get  a couple of duplicates. I would buy these again though. The white nail pearls are very pretty and easy to use and look really classy on my design (in my opinion). They were a good price and I have ordered more in different sizes.

Haloween Nails

Hi There

Hope you all had an excellent Halloween and had lots of fun. I meant to post this mani yesterday but it totally slipped my mind (was watching Most Haunted and Ghost Adventures, Really was showing them all day yesterday) anyhow I forgot so I am posting it today. I hope you like it.

Here are the materials that I used

So from left to right we have China Glaze Meet Me Under The Stars, China Glaze Fairy Dust, OPI Do You Have This Colour In Stockholm, Kiko Black number 275, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, OPI I Just Can't Cope-A-Cabana, Avon Metallics Platinum Petal, OPI Can't Afjord Not To, Green acrylic paint, Bundle Monster plate H07, My Online Shop Plate MJXXV and My Online Shop plate MJHK.
I know there are alot of products here but it's worth it in the end.

Lets get started I prepared all my nails with one coat of base coat I used OPI Nail Envy Strengthener and then painted my ring finger with Sinful Colors Snow Me White and the rest of my fingers and thumb with Kiko Black 275

I then created a gradient effect on my ring finger using a cosmetic sponge and OPI I Just Can't Cope-A-Cabana, OPI Do You Have This Colour In Stockholm and OPI Can't Afjord Not To

Next I painted my little finger with China Glaze Meet me Under The Stars followed with a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. Meet Me Under The Stars is glittery but I wanted a bit more of the holographic effect with the Fairy Dust and in my opinion you can never have too much sparkle.

Now for the stamping part of this design. I took My Online Shop nail plate MJHK this is the plate with Hello Kitty on it and stamped this using Kiko Back 275. I then coloured her in using a very small dotting tool and Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Green Acrylic paint for her outfit and bow

When dry I stamped her over my gradient and then used My Online Shop plate MJXXV and Kiko Black 275 to put a city skyline below so it looked like she was flying

Finally I took Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BMH07 and Avon Metallic polish in Platinum Petal and stamped the writing onto my thumb.

This is the finished design
