Stripes and Stamping

Hi There

Today I have done a manicure with stripes. I started off with my usual base coat Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails. On top of that I put 2 coats of Nicole by OPI in Alex By The Books a baby blue colour.
I then used Suede effect W7 polish in Night Suede and masking tape to create stripes on my nails. On my thumb and ring finger the stripes go down the middle of my nail, and on the rest of my nails the stripe goes diagonally.

I then stamped my nails with Bundle Monster plate 406 from the new CYO collection
Sorry about the messy background lol.
I then stamped the flowery image onto the blue stripe on my nails using Konad black (I tried to use the suede nail varnish again but the image wasn't picking up properly with the stamper so I gave in and used Konad instead)

This is the finished design

Green Metallic Stamping Manicure

Hi There

Today I have done a green manicure with metallic stamping mainly because green is my favourite colour

I have used for this manicure Essie in mint apple candy

I have used a metallic green nail varnish for stamping it is by a brand called me me me and is in emerald it was really cheap I picked it up from a Superdrug store. I also used cheeky stamping plate N

I thought the vine pattern was nice for this manicure

Sorry for the photo of my phone cover aswell as the design.

Here is a picture of the finished design
As I am unable to stop messing sometimes I added a glitter topcoat over my thumb and middle fingers in exposed OMG! just to add a bit of sparkle

Water Marbling

Hi There

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

Today I am having a go at water marbling. I haven't done this before so I don't know how it is going to look in the end.

I have used my usual base coat which is Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails and then I have applied 2 coats of W7 powder grey on all my fingers except my ring finger on which I have put 1 coat as I am water marbling it. Wait until the polish is completely dry.

I am using 3 colours to marble with Essie Cocktail Bling, Essie Blue Rhapsody and Essie Aruba Blue. I have tested these to make sure that they will spread out in the water to make a design.

Well as you can see from the image I think water marbling turned out quite well for my first ever attempt. I have done a top coat of Maybelline express finish 40 in Flash Cosmic just to give my nails a bit of sparkle (although you can't see it very well on this picture).

If you would like to have a go at water marbling but don't know where to start (a bit like me) then I can suggest You tube as there are some excellent tutorials on there.

What do you think of this design please leave comments below if you like this and if you have any ideas you want me to try

Stampimg Review

Hi There

Whilst on a shopping trip I popped into Claire's Accessories and noticed that they have started to do Konad style stamping plates. The set I purchased was £10 (GBP) and in the set I got a stamper, scraper, white polish and 3 nail plates.

All three plates have nice designs and all are covered on the back with card. They feel a bit sharp around the edges and the protective plastic covering was hard to get off. Lets test them

I am using my Sally Hansen Advanced hard as nails for my base coat as always. For the main colour on my nails I am using Revlon Moon Candy in Galactic and I am stamping with the bird plate (sorry doesn't have a name) I have put the picture below of all the things I have used

a closeup of the design I am using

So I painted my nails with my base coat and let that dry. I then applied 2 coats of the Revlon Moon Candy Galactic nail varnish which is at one end
I then added a coat of the glitter poish on the other end on my middle an ring fingers
And lastly I stamped my thumb, first and little finger with the white birds from Claire's
Overall I was impressed with the opacity of the white polish provided as it covers the dark blue nicely, but the scraper wasn't as good as my Konad as it seemed to smudge the pattern when I scraped off the excess polish. I will use the plates again though as they have nice designs and I definitely like the bird patterns

Ombre With Stamping

Hi There

Hope you are enjoying your weekend

Today I have decided to do a grey ombre but I also wanted to do some stamping so I have done both

I used my usual base coat Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails and the colours I have used are Nails Inc The Southbank, Hyde Park Place, The Thames, Paddington and W7 black each colour has 2 coats for even coverage

I then stamped on each nail using stamp PUEEN46
Here is the final result I stamped using the colours backwards e.g white stamp on the black little nail then getting darker as the base coat gets lighter ending with black on the thumb with the lightest grey base coat

I really love this look, what do you think

Red And Black French Manicure

Hi There

Today I have done a red and black French manicure with a matte and gloss finish

To start I used Sally Hansen Advanced hard as Nails followed by 2 coats of Nails inc Edith Terrace a beautiful blood red colour

I then used Rimmel Matte Finish top coat and used french tip stickers (because I seriously can't draw) to create a V shape to my French manicure using W7 Black and topped this with a clear top coat making it glossy

I started with Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails base coat and  I have used W7 UV polish in 16 (lilac used on my thumb, index and little fingers) and 10 (pastel blue on my middle and ring fingers) (for some reason the UV colours don't have names).
